Dermaplaning

Dermaplaning is a non-invasive cosmetic procedure using a sterile surgical blade to gently exfoliate the skin's surface, removing dead skin cells and fine vellus hair (commonly called "peach fuzz").

Treatment Time: 40 minutes

This treatment is recommended every 3- 4 weeks for maximum results.

Benefits of Dermaplaning

  1. Exfoliation: Dermaplaning effectively removes dead skin cells from the skin's surface, promoting cell turnover and revealing smoother, brighter skin underneath. This can help improve the overall texture and tone of the skin.

  2. Enhanced Product Absorption: By removing the outer layer of dead skin cells, dermaplaning allows skincare products to penetrate more deeply into the skin, maximizing their effectiveness. This can produce better results from moisturizers, serums, and other skincare products.

  3. Reduction of Fine Lines and Wrinkles: Dermaplaning can help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles by exfoliating the skin and stimulating collagen production. This can result in a more youthful and radiant complexion.

  4. Removal of Vellus Hair: In addition to exfoliating the skin, dermaplaning removes vellus hair, commonly known as peach fuzz. This can leave the skin feeling smoother and looking more polished, with a softer texture.

  5. Improvement of Uneven Skin Tone: Dermaplaning can help improve the appearance of uneven skin tone, including areas of hyperpigmentation or sun damage. By removing dead skin cells and stimulating cell turnover, dermaplaning can promote a more even complexion.

  6. Reduction of Acne Scars: Dermaplaning can help reduce the appearance of acne scars by exfoliating the skin and promoting the growth of new, healthy skin cells. Over time, regular dermaplaning treatments may help improve the texture and appearance of acne-prone skin.

  7. Safe for Most Skin Types: Dermaplaning is considered safe for most skin types, including sensitive skin. Unlike other exfoliation methods, such as chemical peels or microdermabrasion, dermaplaning does not use harsh chemicals or abrasive particles, making it suitable for sensitive or reactive skin.

  8. No Downtime: Dermaplaning is a relatively quick procedure that requires no downtime. Most people can resume their regular activities immediately after treatment, making it a convenient option for busy individuals.
